Binny Bansal belongs to Chandigarh. He did his schooling from St. Anne's Convent School,chandigarh with his business partner Sachin bansal, but at that time they didn't know each other. They did their degrees from same college, where they came in contact with each other. Although their surnames are same, but they are not related to each other.

Description

Binny Bansal is a Software Engineer and co-founder of  Flipkart with Sachin Bansal. Flipkart is an E-commerce Platform. He was serving as the Chief Operting Officer until january 2016 and was promoted to CEO.

He was rejected twice by Google, before joining Amazon. His Business partner was also working there. Firstly they thought of starting a Comparison Search Engine, but they dropped the idea because they realized that market for Ecommerce was very small in india. Hence, they left Amazon in 2007 and co- founded Flipkart.

Currently he resides in Bangalore.
